The curtains are rising, the lights are dimming, and it is time to reveal the most metal theatrical spectacle to hit Stoke Prior!

We are thrilled to officially announce the Fancy Dress Theme for Beermageddon 2027: TWISTED MUSICALS, A Darker Take On Your Favourite Classics.

Whether you are a West End regular or you only sing in the shower while blasting Slayer, it is time to trade in the glitter for grit. We are taking West End glitz and dragging it kicking, screaming, and guitar shredding straight into the pit.

What is "Twisted Musicals"?

Think of your favourite musical theatre icons, but infected with maximum Beermageddon chaos. Take classic, bright, upbeat show tunes and corrupt them into nightmares, gothic oddities, post apocalyptic survivors, or gory horror icons.

Need Some Inspiration?

If you are wondering how to turn Broadway into badass, here are a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing:

Zombie Mary Poppins: A spoonful of sugar will not save you from this nanny. Swap the umbrella for a battle axe and add plenty of fake blood.
Cyberpunk or Mad Max Phantom of the Opera: Trade the porcelain mask for a rusted welding shield, a leather jacket, and spikes.
Corrupted Wizard of Oz:
- A truly terrifying, chainsaw wielding Tin Man.
- Dorothy straight out of a gothic horror tale with a demonic Toto in tow.
- A bloodthirsty, feral Cowardly Lion.
Heavy Metal Joseph: Keep the Coat of Many Colours, but make it out of band patches, leather, and studs.
Demonic Cats: Forget Broadway’s Cats, think skeletal, undead felines straight from the underworld.
Sweeney Todd or Little Shop of Horrors: Honestly, these are already metal as hell, but feel free to turn the violence up to 11!
